Pumpkin Oatmeal

We love oatmeal and eat it often in the morning. We also love pumpkin. So combining these two tasty foods was a unique fall treat. It's easy to make.

Pumpkin Oatmeal

2 1/2 cups Old Fashioned Oats
1 can pumpkin
4 cups milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Combine ingredients in a cooking pot and cook over low to medium heat while stirring frequently for about 10 minutes.

  1. Oh, I like that oatmeal, too. Another favorite is gingersnap oatmeal. I found that recipe on Cheap Healthy Good. Here it is: http://cheaphealthygood.blogspot.de/2010/02/2-oatmeal-recipes-1-sweet-1-savory-plus.html
We're going to the Ludwigsburg Pumpkin Festival this weekend which promises loads of pumpkiny deliciousness for our belly baskets. Not sure how far that is from you guys. It's about two hours from Hohenfels.

    1. Thanks for the link. Ginger and molasses sounds good in oatmeal too. We will have to try it.
